For those curious about HypnoBirthing, but not ready to sign up for the class, this will be a FREE one hour overview of what HypnoBirthing teaches, how it helps parents have a calmer birth, and I'll be able to answer any specific questions people have.
This session will be held at Heritage Birth Center at 445 West 9th Ave on the corner of 9th and E St. on December 1st from noon- 1pm.
If you have questions or want to let me know you'll be there, feel free to email me at akhypnobirthing@gmail.com

November is WIDE OPEN
I usually have my next class scheduled by about half way through a current class, but right now I have November completely open. I try to work around the schedules of the parents who contact me, and that mostly happens on a first come, first choice basis, so if you have a date and time schedule that works for you and you are looking to take a HypnoBirthing class soon, contact me!
Freedom For Birth
At the HypnoBirthing Conclave this year, we screened the film Freedom for Birth and it lit a fire in many of us!
I was fortunate enough to have two beautiful home births, although only one was paid in part by insurance. It was worth it for us to have the birth that we had envisioned for our children. Having to pay for our second birth was a huge expense for us, but we still had the legal right to the birth that we knew was right for us. I know a home birth isn't right for everyone, but that should be up to the family.
You can watch the whole film here, and then in the comments feel free to open the discussion about how we can lead the revolution. Even here in Alaska, where midwifery is essential for many remote births, and a part of our urban births as well, midwives still have to fight for the right to honor families who want a natural pregnancy and birth. Let's continue the REVOLUTION!
Watch Freedom for Birth now!
